Attempted Home Invasion – Homeowner Confronts Male

(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), County of Brant detachment investigated an incident after being contacted by a concerned homeowner at a Robinson Road, County of Brant, Ontario address.

On Monday, November 23, 2015 at approximately 10:15 a.m., police received a call from a concerned homeowner reporting that an unknown male attempted to gain entry into their residence.

Through the course of investigation it was determined that on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at approximately 9:00 p.m., the door-bell rang at which time the homeowner answered the door only to find no one standing there. As they were standing at the front door, a loud banging noise could be heard coming from the rear door of the residence.

The homeowner then went to the rear door and observed a male standing outside at the doorway. The homeowner immediately confronted the male who then fled to a vehicle that was parked in the driveway. The male and vehicle left the area in an unknown direction at a high rate of speed.

The homeowner contacted police the next day after realizing that their door had been damaged by the unknown male in an attempt to gain entry into the residence.

The unknown male is being described as white, 5’8 to 5’10, mid 30’s, average build, fair skin, clean shaven and had glasses with metal frames and was wearing a hat similar to a baseball cap.
