On April 22, 2015 at approximately 5:15 p.m., a 30 year old Cambridge man was walking in the area of John Street and Selkirk Street near Dumfries Street in the City of Cambridge. With large rocks in his hands this male was seen attempting to break into several motor vehicles in the area. Numerous concerned citizens called police. The male then entered a nearby residential home but the home owner was able to push the male out and locked the door. The male demanded keys to a motor vehicle from this home owner but then spotted a woman trying to enter her car nearby. He ran towards her and tried to take her keys. After a brief struggle the male ran off. Police located the male, and after a brief foot pursuit, he was arrested. He is being held for a bail hearing on April 23, 2015. Charges include: Robbery x2, possessing an dangerous weapon, various property related charges and breaching a court order.
