(ATIKOKAN, ON) – Shortly before 9:00 am on December 31, 2013, members of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a deceased male located at the 100 block of River Road in Atikokan. Members of the Rainy River District Crime Unit as well as a Scenes of Crime Officer from Atikokan and the Thunder Bay Forensic Identification Unit were called to assist with the investigation.
The deceased has been positively identified as 32-year-old Ryan KEEASH of Atikokan.
On January 2, 2014 a post mortem examination was completed in Kenora, Ontario.
Foul play is not suspected and the investigation is complete pending further information.
