Assaults At Floating Party Results In Arrest Of James PENNOCK

(Municipality of Trent Lakes, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) dispatched marine officers to assist persons who were assaulted during a houseboat party on Buckhorn Lake near Fox Island shortly after 5:00pm on Saturday evening.

Members of the OPP marine unit attended the floating party arrested and charged a male suspect. James PENNOCK (age 23) of Etobicoke, ON has been charged with:

Assault with a weapon (two counts)

Assault

The accused is scheduled to appear at Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on July 28, 2016.

The responding marine unit members would like to thank the Trent Severn Waterways Lockmasters at Burleigh Falls (lock 28), Lovesick (lock 30) and Buckhorn (lock 31) locks, for their assistance allowing our officers to quickly respond through the system to this emergency.
