Yesterday afternoon at approximately 1500hrs members of the community patrol division responded to an address on Harvey Street in Chatham in relation to a disturbance complaint. Upon arrival police learned that the victim; a 30 year old Chatham male; was assaulted on two separate occasions by a male party who fled prior to police arrival. The suspect, a 19 year old Chatham male was located and arrested by members of the community patrol division a short time later. The accused has been charged with Assault with a weapon (x2), Break and Enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence and Fail to Comply with Probation Order. He has been held pending a bail hearing.
