(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) On Wednesday June 5th 2013, at approximately 2:24pm, officers from the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a residence in Centre Wellington Township to assist a medical care provider with the care of a bed ridden elderly male. In an attempt to interfere with the care provider, a male and female became assaultive toward police. Injuries were sustained to both police and paramedics. They were treated at the hospital and released.
Leslie IRAZOQUE, a female age 53 of Centre Wellington Township is charged with Assault Peace Officer with a Weapon, Assault with a Weapon, Assault Peace Officer Cause Bodily Harm contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on July 16, 2013.
