Assault

A 19 year old Barrie man got into an argument with another man outside a Dunlop Street nightclub. A female stepped between the parties to diffuse the situation and the 19 year old suspect pushed her. The suspect then punched the male in the face and the two began fighting. A second man attempted to separate the two fighting and the suspect also punched him in the face. Nightclub Security then attempted to restrain the combative subject and he punched one bouncer in the face. The suspect was restrained on the ground and police responded. As the accused was arrested on four counts of assault, he was very combative and would not allow officers to handcuff him. Officers eventually got the male under control and he was also charged with resisting arrest. This accused was charged with assault and resisting arrest just a month prior. He was held for a bail hearing.
