Barrie Police were called to a Dunlop West nightclub for a intoxicated patron.
As Police were arriving, the suspect began to smash beer bottles in the parking lot and then began threatening nightclub staff with a broken bottle.
The nightclub security was able to disarm the male and hold him for Police.
A 43 year old Barrie man was arrested and taken to the Barrie Police Service to await a bail hearing.
He is facing a slew of charges that includes assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, mischief and breaching his probation.
There were no injuries to witnesses or the accused.
Alcohol was a factor in this occurrence.
