ARVIEW COMMUNITY POLICING COMMITTEE AND S.C.I. HOLD SAFE DRIVING EVENT

(CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On October 21st, 2014 the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police in partnership with Stayner College Institute (S.C.I), Clearview Community Policing Committee (CCPC) and Drivewise – Barrie will be conducting a safe driving initiative for the students at S.C.I.

This safe driving initiative will include safe driving information sessions and the Drivewise driving simulator. “We hope that students, through using the simulator and our information session will get the message that driving requires your full attention” states Acting S/Sgt Michael Burton of the Huronia West OPP.

This safe driving event will be conducted throughout the school day in hopes to include the entire school student population of driving or near driving age.

Although this event is being conducted at one school we hope that the safe driving messages given out will go further and impact the whole community.
