(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On May 19, 2016 at approximately 8:40 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling Trafalgar Road north of Wellington Road 124, Town of Erin. The officer observed a man driving a 2015 Dodge pickup truck well above the posted speed limit and was locked on radar at approximately 139 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
55-year-old Arthur McCONVILLE of Halton Hills has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on July 6, 2016 to answer to the charge.
