Arthur FINNIS – Drunk Driving, Crash Into Residence

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Sunday February 09, 2014 shortly before 7 p.m., Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to the intersection of Perth Line 26 and Perth Road 112 in Harmony, where a vehicle had crashed into a home.

Investigation revealed that a Ford F150 pickup had been travelling south bound on Perth Road 112. The vehicle drove through the intersection of Perth Line 26, struck a sign and numerous trees, before coming to rest against a home on the South East corner of the intersection.

Both male occupants of the pickup truck were transported to hospital where the driver was treated for minor injuries and the passenger was treated for major injuries. The passenger is a 28 year old London resident.

The driver of the pickup truck was found to have consumed alcohol he was administered two Intoxilyzer Breath Tests which he failed.

Arthur FINNIS (25) of London has been charged with “driving while ability impaired cause bodily harm”, and with “driving with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in blood”. He will have to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on Monday March 10, 2014 to answer to these charges. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
