(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – At approximately 10:30 am, February 26, 2016, the Nottawasaga Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was notified of a house fire that occurred at 12 Kate Aitken Crescent in Beeton. It was learned that New Tecumseth Fire Service had been called to the scene at around 5:00 pm on February 25th, 2016, and the fire was extinguished.
Also, during the morning of February 26,2016, OPP were informed that the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office had been notified as the fire appeared suspicious. The Nottawasaga Detachment Crime Unit is now assisting the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office in conducting their investigation.
There were no injuries reported as a result of this fire. Investigation is still continuing.
