Arrests Made In Theft Investigations

(Napanee, ON)- Officers with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police arrested a Napanee man in relation to thefts from local businesses.

On June 4, 2016 in the afternoon a ten foot section of aluminum dock valued at $1,000 was stolen from Home Hardware in Napanee. Surveillance video turned over to police captured a black Dodge pick-up used in the theft.

On June 9, 2016 in the afternoon a male driving a black Dodge pick-up attended the Loyalist Cove Marina and stole an inflatable AVON dingy valued at $4,500.

On June 14, 2016 police observed the suspect vehicle in Napanee with stolen licence plates attached. The driver of the vehicle, Nikki WILSON, age 28 of Napanee was arrested and charged with Possession of Stolen Property (licence plate).

Police later arrested 54 year-old Anthony BOURDEAU of Tyendinaga. He faces charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x 2 counts and Theft x 3 counts.

All stolen property was recovered and returned to the rightful owners.

Both parties were released on a Promise to Appear and are scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Napanee on July 12, 2016.
