(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – In July of this year, Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Street Response Team (SRT) launched an investigation into several reports of driveway paving and roofing frauds. The investigation encompassed a wide area including communities as far away as Bancroft, Lakehurst, Bobcaygeon as well as locally here in Northumberland County and Peterborough.
As a result of the investigation, the following persons have been arrested:
1)Randy DAVIS age 53 of Peterborough
– Fraud Over $5,000
– Fraud Under $5,000 (4 counts)
2) Cory HOWRAN age 35 of Cavan-Monaghan Township
– Fraud Over $5,000
– Fraud Under $5,000 (3 counts)
Both accused were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on September 24, 2014.
Northumberland OPP is asking for the public’s assistance with this ongoing investigation and would like to speak to anyone who has had dealings with the following companies:
1) Kawartha Paving
2) Maple Leaf Paving
