Arrests Made In Break And Enters

(CALEDON, ON) – On Monday, July 11, 2016, while on patrol officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a break and enter in progress in the area of Emil Kolb Parkway and Highway 50. Police observed a male on an industrial property holding a flashlight, the male fled on foot upon seeing officers. Police also observed a male party in a white Dodge Caravan, which was parked nearby with its engine running. The occupant of the vehicle was found to be in possession of break and enter tools. Members of the OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP K9 unit were called to search for the male who fled from police on foot. He was located after a short search by the police dog and officers.

As a result of the investigation, two Waterloo residents were arrested and charged with the following:

Jordan Laban LIPMAN, 58, was arrested and charged with Break and Enter, Obstruct Peace Officer, Possession Break In Instruments, Disguise with Intent, and Possession Property Obtained by Crime.

Joseph Charles WATSON, 57, was arrest and charged with Break and Enter, Possession Break In Instruments, Disguise with Intent, and Possession of Property Crime.

The accused persons were held in custody overnight and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville the following day to answer to their respective charges.

Information such as suspect physical descriptions, suspect vehicles and direction of travel are useful tools for investigators.
