ARREST OF INTOXICATED MAN SOLVES THEFT AT LCBO STORE

(Hawkesbury, ON) In the late afternoon of February 14th, 2014, Hawkesbury OPP officers were sent to the scene of a theft that occurred at the Hawkesbury LCBO store.
A man had just left the store with a vodka bottle without paying. The investigation resulted in the arrest of a Hawkesbury man. The suspect was arrested the next day when he was found passed out heavily intoxicated in a snow bank on County Road 17 near Highway 34.

Randy KELSO (53 yrs) of Hawkesbury was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with section 334(b) Theft Under $5000- SHOPLIFTING.
He was also charged under section 31(4) of the Liquor License Act for Being intoxicated in a public place.

He was served a Provincial Offence Notice (ticket) with a fine of $65.

He was later released and expected at court on March 19th 2014 in L’Orignal.
