(ORILLIA, ON) – On November 4, 2016 the Orillia detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) commenced an investigation into the theft of poppy box. The poppy box was reported stolen from a business on Mississaga Street in Orillia.
A plea to the public for information into the theft was released via Twitter. As a result, information was received from the public and the Orillia OPP was able to identify a suspect.
On November 29, 2016 the Orillia OPP arrested and charged Marcie ROBERTSON, 37 years old of Severn Township. The accused was charged with Theft under $5,000 and Breach of Probation. She was held for a bail hearing on November 30, 2016.
