Arrest Made In Hwy 89 Hit And Run

(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – On Thursday, February 23, 2017, members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), assisted by members of the Street Crime Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in Essa Township.

As a result of this search, a red GMC, Sierra pickup truck was seized and a male was arrested in relation to the three vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 89 at Nottawasaga Resort Way on February 16, 2017.

Charged with Fail to Stop at Scene of Accident, Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and Drive While Licence under Suspension, Contrary to the Highway Traffic Act is a 57 year old male of Essa Township. He was released on a Promise to Appear before an Ontario Court of Justice, with a future court date.
