Arrest Made In Clinton Buck And Doe Assault – Victim Still In Hospital

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A 19 year-old male from Waterloo has been arrested in connection to a disturbance that took place a week and a half ago at the Central Huron Community Centre.

On April 24, 2016 at approximately 1:30 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the community centre after receiving a call about a fight in progress. Police and Huron EMS responded to the scene where they located an injured male. The injured male, a 27-year old from St. Marys was transported to hospital in London where he was treated for serious but stable injuries. He remains in hospital recovering from his injuries.

Investigators determined the two involved persons were in the process of leaving the facility when they started exchanging words. Shortly thereafter the accused physically assaulted the male victim.

Witnesses provided valuable information to investigators which led to police identifying and arresting the accused. As a result, 19-year-old Adrian MCTAGGART, from Waterloo turned himself into police on April 27, 2016. He has been charged with Aggravated Assault. He has since made a court appearance and has been released from custody. He returns to the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on May 16, 2016.
