(TAVISTOCK, ON) – On May 28, 2019, members of Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with members of the West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), West Region Canine and West Region Crisis Negotiators responded to an incident involving a person in crisis in Tavistock.
John MATHERS, 50-years-old, of Tavistock was arrested and charged with;
Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm (three counts).
He was held for a bail hearing on May 29, 2019 in the Ontario Court of Justice, Woodstock.
All roads in the area have been reopened to traffic.
