Arrest

Saturday evening the police received a 911 call from a 16 year old girl stating that her parents were involved in a heated dispute. Officers attended the south east Barrie residence and discovered that the girl’s parents had been fighting over the mother’s use of a cell phone. During the argument the 40 year old father took the cell phone and threw it against a wall causing it to break. The father then left the scene. He later turned himself in to the police, he was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000.00. He was held pending a bail hearing.
