(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On February 9th 2015, members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a Robbery at the Mac’s Convenience Store in Elmvale. Just before midnight two men wearing dark coloured balaclava’s and gloves entered the store. One of the men brandished a large knife. A quantity of cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes was stolen. The suspects stuffed the stolen goods into a large black duffle bag before exiting the store.
The two suspects were last seen on foot heading Northbound on Yonge Street. Investigators with the Huronia West Street Crime Unit believe the suspects then got into a newer white Ford Focus (or similar vehicle) and continued Northbound on County Road 27. A vehicle matching the description was observed on video in a nearby driveway shortly before the robbery.
Initial suspect descriptions are limited. However, further area surveillance video is being reviewed. The two suspects are described as Caucasian males. One of the suspects is taller with a heavy build. The second suspect is shorter than the first.
