(SOUTHERN GEORGIAN BAY, ON) – On Sunday September 6, 2015 at 10:29 p.m. officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance call on Muskoka Road 5 in Georgian Bay Township. Prior to police arrival, a female left the scene in a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol.
Police were able to stop the motor vehicle around 10:57 p.m. on Highway 12 and William Street in the Town of Midland. The female was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested by police.
April Lee ELDER (age29) of Midland, ON has been charged with:
1. Driving While Ability Impaired – motor vehicle CC sec 253(1)(a)
2. Driving with More than 80 mgs. Of Alcohol in Blood CC sec 253(1)(b)
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on September 24, 2015, in Midland ON.
She was also served a 90 day Automatic Driver’s Licence Suspension and her 2010 Black Ford Fusion was impounded for 7 days.
