(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On Friday November 6, 2015 at 8:30am Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Muskoka EMS attended Centre St. S. in Huntsville where two pedestrians had been struck by a vehicle.
Initial investigation found that a 29 year-old female and her 4 year old son were walking across the road at Minerva St and we struck by a pickup making a turn at that intersection knocking both of them to the ground. Both were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
David BAKER (36yrs) of Huntsville has since been charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
Huntsville OPP would like to remind motorist to be pay extra attention in the morning around school start time. Many students that attend the downtown area schools are walking.
