(PERRY TWP, ON) – On Monday January 30, 2017 at approximately 1:00 p.m. the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Kearney Fire Department and Parry Sound Emergency Medical Services (EMS) investigated a motorized snow vehicle (MSV) collision on Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs trail D-123 approximately two kilometers down Cherry Hill Road.
The driver, Jean Paul GOULET, 57 of Welland Ontario was travelling on the snowmobile trail when he failed to negotiate a curve and left the trail, striking a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post mortem is scheduled Tuesday January 31, 2017.
