(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On December 12, 2015 at approximately 2:03 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Highway 6 near College Avenue in the City of Guelph.
Officers spoke with the female driver of a 2009 Pontiac that entered into the spot check and immediately detected the odour of alcohol on her breath. An Approved Roadside Screening Device (ASD) test was conducted which resulted in a fail. The driver was transported to an OPP Operation Centre for further testing.
The driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.
28-year-old Anna KRZYDZINSKI of Niagara Falls has been charged with Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 19, 2016 to answer to the charge.
