(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) -On November 16, 2013 at approximately 2:58 a.m., officers from the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a R.I.D.E. Program on Highway 6 and College Avenue, in the City of Guelph. A male driver of a 1994 Volvo entered the check point and showed signs of alcohol consumption.
Ankit PATEL age 23 of Markham has been charged with Over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on December 6, 2013 to answer to the charge.
