Barrie Police recieved a call in regards to the remains of a bear in the area on Anne and John St. The officer arrived on scene and discovered the carcass of a young bear in a plastic bag. The Ministry of Natural Resources were contacted and the remains were turned over to them to further investigate the possible cause of death. The police will be notified by the MNR if it is determined that a criminal act was committed in the demise of the bear.
