(KAPUSKASING, ON.) – Shortly after 8:30 pm on December 8, 2014, members of the Kapuskasing Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter in progress at a residence on Bowman Avenue in Kapuskasing, Ontario.
Police immediately attended the scene and located an unwanted intoxicated male inside the residence and placed him under arrest.
The investigation revealed that the 37 year old accused male, Angus WYNNE of Kapuskasing attempted to gain access to the Bowman Avenue residence through the locked front door. The three occupants inside the home exited safely after calling police. The accused eventually broke into the residence through a side door and was apprehended by police without incident.
As a result of the investigation, the accused has been charged with one count of Break and enter and one count of Trespassing a night, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
He is currently in police custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cochrane on December 16, 2014.
