(Bancroft, Ontario) – In the early morning of January 01st 2015, officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting patrols in the Bancroft area. A pickup truck was observed parked in the area Enterprise Court in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands. The adult male driver was arrested and taken into police custody.
24 year old Andrew SMITH of the Municipality of Hastings Highlands has been charged with care and control of a motor vehicle while impaired and care and control of a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood. He was released from custody on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 17th of February 2015.
