(TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON, ON) – On Thursday April 13, 2017 at approximately 8:30 a.m. the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a blue Toyota Solara on South River Road, between Fergus and Elora.
Investigations revealed that the driver of the vehicle was suspended for unpaid fines.
34-year-old Andrew Joseph HUBBARD of Elmira has been charged with Driving While Suspended contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on May 17, 2017 to answer to the charge.
Drivers are reminded that on a first conviction of driving while your licence is suspended may result in a fine from $1,000 to $5,000. Subsequent convictions fines start at $2,000 and a driver may also be liable to imprisonment of up to 6 months.
