(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On September 17, 2016, at approximately 8:50 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint on Hamilton Road, near Ferrar Road.
A motor vehicle entered the checkpoint, and officers determined that the male driver of the blue Pontiac car had been drinking. As a result of the police investigation, 36-year-old Andrew AHLERS, from London, Ontario, has been charged with care or control over 80 mgs., contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is schedule to answer the charges in a London court on October 24, 2016.
