(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On January 14, 2017 at 1:49 am, officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on patrol observed an erratic driver in the Town of Fort Frances.
Officers then conducted a traffic stop on the 800 block of Williams Av in Fort Frances. The driver, Andre VALENZUELA, age 24 years of Fort Frances, failed the roadside test and was arrested and transported to OPP Detachment for breath tests. The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for the mandatory 7 days. The driver was subsequently charged with,
-Having Care or Control over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
He will appear in Fort Frances Court on February 21, 2017 to answer to the charge.
