Altercation In Exeter Ends With Assault Charge – DESROSIERS

(EXETER, ON) – On August 29, 2019 at approximately 11:50 p.m., members of Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) South Huron detachment responded to a disturbance at a restaurant at an address on Main Street North in Exeter.

Investigation revealed that a verbal altercation occurred between three patrons that escalated and turned physical. As a result, a 53-year-old male victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. The victim was later transferred to a London hospital.

John Allen Paul DESROSIERS, 37-years-old, of Essex was arrested and charged with;

Aggravated Assault

Assault Causing Bodily Harm

Mischief Under $ 5,000

The accused was being held for a Bail Hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice, Goderich on August 30, 2019 to answer the charges.
