(NORTH PERTH, ON) – On August 28, 2019, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of OPP Grey-Bruce Community Street Crime Unit, and Perth County OPP, seized a large quantity of methamphetamine from a vehicle in the Township of Minto, Wellington County. Offence related property including cash and the involved motor vehicle were also seized.
Aaron WALSH, 33-years-old of the Municipality of North Perth was arrested and charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking methamphetamine and psilocybin. He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice-Stratford.
On August 29, 2019, OPP Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit executed Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants at addresses on Albert Avenue, Municipality of North Perth, and on Minto Road, Minto Township.
As a result of the execution of the search warrants, quantities of methamphetamine and psilocybin, along with further offence related property and drug trafficking paraphernalia were seized.
The estimated value of the seized controlled substances is $218 000, while the estimated value of the seized offence related property is $49 000.
