ALPR Nabs Disqualified Driver

(Bradford, ON) On Wednesday, July 27, 2016, just after 1:30 p.m., a South Simcoe Police constable was patrolling Bradford when the Automated Licence Plate Reader in her vehicle alerted her to a nearby van. The licence plates were listed as unattached. When the officer stopped the vehicle, the driver was found to be under two separate criminal suspensions. A 59 year old Bradford man has been charged with Drive Disqualified, and several Highway Traffic Act and Insurance charges. He was given a September court date, and his vehicle was impounded.
