(STRONG TWP, ON) – The Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the theft of a Bicycle Motorcross (BMX) that occurred sometime overnight between Monday September 19, 2016 and Tuesday September 20, 2016. The bicycle was taken from an Albert Street residence.

OPP INVESTIGATE BREAK AND ENTER TO KEARNEY RESIDENCE
(KEARNEY, ON) – On Friday September 23, 2016 at approximately 5:45 p.m. the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a break enter and theft to a Riverside Drive residence.
Sometime between Thursday September 8, 2016 and Thursday September 22, 2016 unknown person(s) entered the residence and stole tools, clothing, alcohol and a BB gun. The value of the stolen items is approximately $300.

OPP ARREST SOUTH RIVER MAN FOR ASSAULT
(SOUTH RIVER, ON) – The Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an assault that occurred on Saturday September 24, 2016 at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Police investigation revealed that two males were arguing when a physical altercation occurred. The victim was taken to hospital by emergency medical services (EMS) with non-life threatening injuries.
Police arrested and charged Joseph MURDY, 39 of South River Ontario with assault, contrary to section 267(a) of the Criminal Code (CC) and aggravated assault, contrary to section 268 of the CC.
The accused was released from custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday October 13, 2016 in Sundridge Ontario.
