ALMAGUIN HIGHLANDS OPP INVESTIGATE SUSPICIOUS DEATH

(KEARNEY, ON) The Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Almaguin Highlands Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, Acting Detective Inspector Jim GORRY, are investigating a suspicious death in the town of Kearney, Ontario.

On Sunday, April 6, 2014, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the Almaguin Highlands OPP received a 9-1-1 call from a residence in the town of Kearney. Police discovered a female who required medical attention and was transported to the hospital by Parry Sound Emergency Medical Services (EMS) where she succumbed to her injuries.

A post mortem is scheduled for Monday, April 7, 2014 in Toronto at the Centre of Forensic Sciences.
