(KENORA, ON) Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau-Kenora Drug Unit (OCEB) with the assistance of the Treaty Three Police have charged a 24 year old Kenora man for drug related charges following an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the City of Kenora.
On Friday, October 28, 2016 shortly after 2:30 pm as a result of an ongoing investigation police attempted to arrest a male in the downtown area of Kenora. A brief foot chase ensued and the male was arrested by police. A search of the male resulted in the seizure of around 8 grams of cocaine and an amount of Canadian Currency. The drugs have a street value of $800.00
Police have charged 24 year old Allen PENCOFF of Kenora for the following offences:
Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking-Cocaine s. 5(2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
Fail to Comply with Undertaking section 145(3) Criminal Code (CC)
Resist Peace Officer s.129(a) CC
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime s.354(1)(a) CC
He has been held in custody for a bail hearing on October 31, 2016.
