Allan WOLFE – Vehicle Theft, Break and Enter, Breach, etc

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On August 12, 2016, just after 5:00 a.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an incident of a break and enter in progress, in the 5000 block of Catherine Street.

Officers had been alerted by the occupant of the property, who was home at the time, that an unknown male had entered the residence after damaging a rear door, and was still present.

Officers were investigating a single motor vehicle crash, in which a black Honda car was abandoned in a field near the scene. The vehicle had been previously reported as stolen to the London Police Service (LPS) jurisdiction. It was subsequently determined that the suspect who committed the break and enter, had been the driver of the vehicle involved in the motor vehicle crash.

Police attended the victim’s residence and apprehended the accused without incident. He was arrested, and transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries (which were sustained in the crash), and discharged.

The victim was not injured in the incident.

As a result of the police investigation, 43-year-old Allan WOLFE, from London, Ontario, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

Break, enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence

Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

Fail to comply with recognizance

Theft over $5000 of a motor vehicle

Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

The accused was held in custody, and scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on August 12, 2016.
