(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On April 3, 2015, members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were patrolling Highway 400 in Seguin Township. At approximately 4:44 p.m. a northbound red car was observed travelling at a high rate of speed and as a result was stopped for “Stunt Driving”.
The driver, Ali MOUZANNAR, 20 years of age from Toronto has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario (HTA).
The driver was served a summons requiring him to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on May 12, 2015 to answer to the charge.
Every person convicted of Race a Motor Vehicle is liable to a fine of not less than $2,000 and not more than $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term of not more than six months, or to both, in addition to his or her driver’s licence being suspended.
