(KENORA, ON) – Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have charged a female following a motor vehicle collision.
On Thursday December 18, 2014 just after 9:00 pm, police received a call of a vehicle that left the roadway on the north side of the city. Police attended and located the vehicle. Shortly after, a female identified as the driver was located. Police determined the female had been consuming alcohol and was arrested for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, Alexandria OSHIE, age 21 of Kenora has been charged with Impaired Driving and Operating a Motor Vehicle with More than .80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
She is to appear in Kenora court on January 22, 2015 to answer to the charges.
The OPP reminds motorists that operating a vehicle under the influence of any amount of alcohol is dangerous and jeopardizes your own safety as well as the safety of others. If you are planning to consume alcohol then plan to have a sober person drive you home. The public may report an impaired driver by calling the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or 911.
