(CENTRAL HURON, ON) On January 26, 2013 at approximately 6:15 p.m. Huron OPP officers responded to a single vehicle collision on Base Line at Winthrop Road. Officers arrived and located a Ford F-150 resting in the west ditch of Base Line. Officers checked on the driver and determined he was uninjured. While speaking with the driver, officers determined the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside test was completed which the driver failed. He was transported back to the Huron OPP detachment where he provided two tests above the legal limit.
Alexander SCHOEMAKER, 45, from Brantford, has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on March 4, 2013. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and the motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
