(Bancroft, Ontario) – During the morning hours on the 24th of June 2015, police received a report of a Break & Enter attempt in the town of Bancroft.
According to the complainant, a lone male had just attended a residence, and after an initial effort to knock on the door, had made his way around to the rear of the building and was attempting to gain entry through a window. The owner of the house confronted the individual, who made a claim that he was simply interested in purchasing the property, and then departed the area.
Officers with the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police located the male a short time later and he was arrested.
Charged with Break & Enter is 53 year old Alexander IBEY of Bancroft. He was held in custody and transported to Bail Court in Belleville on the 24th of June 2015.
