(BROOKE ALVINSTON, ON) On Jul 27, 2013 just before 2:00 p.m. a Lambton Ontario Provincial (OPP) police officer was on patrol in the area of Petrolia Line and Nauvoo Road.
The OPP officer was westbound on Petrolia Line when the officer noticed an eastbound Volkswagen vehicle, suddenly cross into the officer’s path. The officer engaged his brakes and swerved onto the shoulder of the road to avoid the head-on collision.
Lambton OPP is alleging that the male driver of the eastbound vehicle fell asleep, which has resulted in a charge of Careless Driving for Thomas BAILEY, 25 years of age, from Orillia, ON.
No injuries are being reported.
