(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment responded to a Break and Enter after being contacted by an alert neighbour at a Dixon Drive, Port Dover, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at approximately 2:34 p.m., police were contacted by an alert neighbour after observing two unknown females removing items from a residence. The neighbour confronted the females at which time one female fled into a ravine behind the residence and the other female fled on foot to a nearby motor vehicle. The vehicle was last seen travelling westbound on Radical Road by the concerned neighbour who immediately contacted police.
The vehicle was subsequently located by police and stopped at a Mutual Road, Vittoria, Norfolk County address where the driver and passenger fled on foot. Both females were taken into custody without further incident.
Charged with the following offences is 45 year old Michelle ELLIOTT of Hamilton, Ontario.
Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence
Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle
Flight while pursued by peace officer
Fail to Comply with Probation Order
Charged with Break, Enter a place- commit indictable offence, Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 and Flight while pursued by peace officer is 25 Kayla RICHARDS of Hamilton, Ontario.
Both are to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
