(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On September 24 2013 the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted by the Parry Sound Town Office regarding a fraudulent parking ticket they received.
The fraudulent ticket had the following features:
Accurate replica of the Town of Parry Sound logo
Computerized data input
Original signature
Address for payment in Toronto
If you are unsure of the validity of the parking ticket received, attend the Municipality issuing the ticket. You’re better safe, then sorry.
This investigation is on-going. Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for creating these fraudulent parking tickets should immediately contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or 705-746-4225.
