(ST.MARYS, ON) On Monday December 20, 2010 shortly after 8:30 p.m. members of the Perth County OPP responded to a robbery at the St.Marys Ford Dealership gas bar on Queen St. West in St.Marys.
Police investigation revealed that a male suspect entered the front door of the gas station building. As the suspect entered he pulled what appeared to be a black coloured hand gun from the back of his pants, pointed the weapon at the lone attendant and demanded money. The suspect obtained a small amount of cash and walked out of the front door towards Thames Road. A motor vehicle was heard speeding away in a north bound direction on Thames Road. The gas bar attendant was not injured in the incident.
The male suspect was described as being in his twenties, medium build approximately 5’10†(178 cm) tall. He was wearing blue jeans, a green jacket, and black shoes. He also had a black mask with eye holes covering his face.
Perth County OPP officers with the assistance of the OPP Western Region Canine Unit searched the area for the suspect with negative result. The Perth county OPP is continuing their investigation into this incident.
