On October 1st at 6:20 PM, Wingham Police were alerted to the fact that a 10 year old girl did not return home from school. The girl was located safe and sound at a residence on Minnie St. The girl had met an adult, who invited her in the residence for pie and even though she had been taught by her parents not to go with strangers, she accepted the invitation.
Police would like to remind parents to speak to their children often about the dangers of going with strangers.
