(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) On February 1, 2013 at about 8:34pm County of Wellington OPP officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. spot check on Highway 6 and Side Road 8 in Wellington North Township. Officers stopped a vehicle that turned around as if to avoid the spot check. The driver showed signs of alcohol consumption, and a Roadside Screening Device test was administered which resulted in a fail.
Alan Cave, age 43 of Southgate Township, is facing a charge of Over 80mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on February 19, 2013 to answer to the charge.
